About the game
After ten long years, a daughter visits her deceased mother to pay her respects. They share a long hidden past that’s about to come out of the grave.
This game includes depictions of but does not condone the following: domestic violence, depression, suicide, and transphobia.
I used to love making short narrative ZZT games, so my first ever jam submission was made in that style! This is for the Adventure Jam 2023: https://itch.io/jam/advjam2023
How to play
This game was made in RPG Maker MV, and uses the default controls from that engine. Controller, mouse, and keyboard are supported.
Esc opens the menu
F4 toggles fullscreen
F5 restarts the game.

Install instructions
For windows, download and unzip the MOMwin.zip file and run the game.exe file.
For mac, download and unzip the MOMmac.zip file. The game file can be run from any location on your computer, but for full options and save functionality it must be placed in your applications folder.

I've finished your game. IMO the best about your game is the storytelling. It was disturbing, sad and it was like having the worst nightmare in your whole life. The only drawback, there are hardly any puzzles and it was like only moving. Nevertheless, your game was a change.
I was surprised at how beautiful this was. It may not be much to look at (although the graphics have their charm), and there's very little gameplay (although that's used, quite cleverly, to deny the player any sense of agency), but the storytelling is strong. I'll remember this game.
